Ayahuasca Foundation

The Ayahuasca Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Iquitos, Peru. Operating the Riosbo Retreat & Research Center and the Inkan Kena Plant Medicine School, the Ayahuasca Foundation offers healing retreats, educational courses, and hosts medical research funded by the British Medical Research Council. All programs are led by authentic Shipibo curanderos and are based on a unique ancestral tradition of plant medicine centered around a bio-luminescent tree called Noya Rao, as well as a variety of other powerful plant medicines, including ayahuasca, bobinsana, chiric sanango, marusa, chullachaqui, and many more.
The Riosbo Retreat & Research Center is located in the heart of a national reserve outside of Iquitos, Peru. Working with the Mishana community, who have lived in that location for over 100 years, the Ayahuasca Foundation helps to preserve indigenous wisdom and culture and improve sustainability and reciprocity efforts made possible by the retreat and course programs.
