I am a clinical psychologist specializing in cognitive-behavioral treatments of anxiety, depression, anxiety disorder, life-cycle stressors, and combat trauma. I am also certified by Integrative Psychiatry Institute in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. I apply traditional CBT approaches with insights gleaned from psychedelic medicines. I take a mid-western approach to my work psychedelic medicines, fully aware that many people are not comfortable with more shamanistic approaches. I am a very action-oriented, results-oriented therapist and focus on collaboration with patients and psychedelic medicines. I emphasis personal responsibility in therapy and see the bulk of therapy happening between sessions rather than during sessions, since at some point, my goal is to move people beyond the need for psychotherapy.
