We provide authentic shamanic healing with Master Plants Ayahuasca and Sanango, as well as other medicinal rainforest plants. Dr. Sanango was established in 2015 by native vegetalista shaman Don Luco Navarro, and his English apprentice, and anthropologist, Emily Sinclair. We facilitate ayahuasca healing retreats and shamanic dietas at Chinchelejo Lodge, Don Luco's family home located in the Amazonian village of Jenaro Herrera. It is located on the banks of the Ucayali River, deep in the jungle, about 200km from the city of Iquitos. Our retreats include medicinal plant collection, ayahuasca cooking, medicinal plant baths and ayahuasca ceremonies in our jungle maloca (ceremony house). We are a small centre, which began with no investment, and is growing gradually through donations and co-operation from our visitors and friends. We are committed to growing organically in this way based on the value of our work, and maintaining the integrity of our practice. We aim to preserve, share, and develop shamanic knowledge through our interaction with the international community, whilst working with and serving the local community in Jenaro Herrera. Our visitors get to experience a taste of jungle life living with a local shamanic family, and can also contribute to developing understandings of the impact of these cross-cultural interactions and the globalisation of ayahuasca use through participation in Emily's anthropological studies at the centre, if they wish. Our vision is to be a centre of positive cultural exchange.
